So what is thirdie.com?  Thirdie.com is a social website, similar to myspace or facebook, but Pete says it’s more oriented towards talking to people and discussing topics.  On thirdie.com you can play games, listen to music, and talk to friends, just like myspace and facebook, minus all the things he hates about their sites, for example, invitations to join applications.  

    He explained, “My website is unique because I stay involved with the members and I answer their questions.” 

    Pete currently has 2,400 members on his site; his goal right now is to reach up to 500,000. 

      Thirdie.com is turning out to be a huge success and is quite a big deal.  Pete’s site has been up and running since February 2, 2009.  He spent about 200 hours designing and setting up the website and its functions and he said he has spent about 2,000 hours monitoring it.  Crazy thing is, he did it all by himself!  Pete said he had a few offers to become his partner, but he said no, because he figured they were taking advantage of him. 

    Pete really got interested in designing when he had a myspace.  He enjoyed making his profile and all the codes he had to do for his web page.  Pete loved it so much he got the idea to make his own website.  He used what he had and what he knew to make this new social website.

    Pete is not only staying busy with his website, but people have even asked him to make websites for their businesses.  He’s made one for his dad’s shop in South Dakota and is in the process of making one for his older sister’s t-shirt store.  He’s had a few more offers, but he said he’s pretty busy and it will be awhile until he gets around to that.

Pete hopes to pursue his website designing by going to college for graphic design and marketing.
     “I would love to do make websites for a living, I really enjoy it,” said Pete.
